Protection Spell

Here is a protection spell from Tarot Spells by Janina Renee, for those of you who do not have the book.
It's VERY LONG.... and helps to read it through a few times to become familiar with it.

Set up your alter. 

Have the TAROT cards in the following orderin a stack:
TEN OF PENTACLES  or TEN OF CUP  (on the top of the stack)SIGNIFICATOR
FOUR OF WANDS, CHARIOT, TEMPERANCE, STAR. 

The following is written using four candles, one for eachelement. When all is ready, pause for a silent meditation, placing your mind in a serene state.  Hold this quiet, contemplative state as long as it feels appropriate.  Cast simple circle.

Place the stack of card on alter.  Hold hands over cards, altar.

Invocation:

Light earth candle if you are using one…while saying:

"I call upon the Earth, Far planes and lofty mountains,
For power and strength to my spell,
As I light this candle in summoning."

Light water candle if you are using one…while saying:

"I call now upon the waters,Broad Lakes, ever-moving streams,
And the boundless ocean,For power and strength to my spell,
As I light this candle in summoning."

Light air candle if you are using one…while saying:

"I call now upon the skies, The far reaches of infinite space,
And the far Wheel of Eternity, For power and strength to my spell,
As I light this candle in summoning."

Light fire candle if you are using one…while saying:

"I call now upon the deep fires, That burn in the core of the Earth,
At one with the energies of Life itself, For power and strength to my spell,
As I light this candle in summoning."

Pause for the length of five heartbeats.

Pick up the stack of Tarot cards and say:

"Reaching far into the archaic past,
I draw forth these symbols For that to which my spell will be cast.
Here shall be woven Chance, Fortune, and Fate
That my deepest wish may be swiftly attained."

When ready, Set the SIGNIFICATOR in place.  Consider your reasons for desiring protection.  Envision yourself (and your family) in an ideal state of safety, security, and invulnerability, with a visible force field protecting you.

Set the FOUR OF WANDS below the SIGNIFICATOR. Consider your reasons for wanting your house or dwelling protected.  Picture your dwelling as a secure fortress, with a visible force field
around it so that no unwelcome intruder can penetrate it.

Set the CHARIOT in place above your SIGNIFICATOR. Consider your reasons for wanting your modes of transportation protected.  Visualize your vehicle running smoothly and in perfect condition, with a visible force field around it so that no unwelcome intruder can penetrate it, and protecting it frommishaps.

Set TEMPERANCE to the left. Picture a radiant guardian angel leaning over you.  Recall stories you have heard about Spirits interceding to protect people. 

Finally, set the STAR in place to the right.  As you lay down the card, think of all the unseen but powerful and watchful orces at play in the Universe around us.  Think of these celestial forces acting together to give protection. 

When you have finished the card visualizations, stand up, if you are not already doing so, and assume the Pentagram position .  Continue to stand in this position while you close your eyes and visualize yourself standing in clear, shallow water, under a full sky of stars.  The water lapping around you feels cool and pleasant. 

As you watch the stars in the sky above, you notice that they seem to be getting closer, until the seem to be whirling in spirals around you.  As you watch, see sparks of gold and silver energy flying out from the whirling stars.  You feel these sparks of energy being drawn to your outstretched fingers.  You also feel the energy coming up through the soles of your feet.  You are being filled with and transformed by the
power that is drawn through your fingertips, the palms of your hands, the soles of your feet, and every pore in your body.  You feel this vital force surging through you and radiating outward from your innermost being.   It creates a shining white energy field with flecks of gold and silver in it.  You glow like the sun, ever brighter and ever more brilliant. 
When the power within you has built to a point of great intensity,  hold your two hands in front of you, and feel the energy pulsing in your hands.  Then with your hands, shape a globe of pure psychic energy around you.    Work from head to toe, front and back, and both sides.  Spend as much time as you need, allowing the energy to flow out through your hands. 
Continue to shape it with circular hand motions and spread it around until it is like a protective eggshell around you.  When you are satisfied with your protective aura, turn your attention to your card layout and make clockwise, circular motions over it.   Let the energy continue to flow from your hands to reinforce the spell. 

When you feel you have done as much as you can, say:

"I call upon the power that is within meand the power that is around me!
I call upon the Sentinels of the Heavens!
I call upon all good spirits and all ministering angels!
I call for protection, defense, and safety!
With white light, a force field is built around me.
I am shielded and protected at all times. 
All negative energies disperse and dissolve at the touch of the radiant light 
that emanates from the core of my being.All shadows flee.
All harm and danger is neutralized by the touch of my glowing aura.
By the power within me, and the power around me, only peace love
and serenity may exist within my protective boundary!
I am protected. My family is protected.
All modes of transportation and travel are protected.
So it is,  So mote it be! 

Closing:

"Into these cards, I direct great powers!
Power drawn from within me, And power called from the spiritual forces
which are at work around me.Oh wide-ruling powers
Mark well what I have done here.
And work to make it manifest! So mote it be!
I call upon you, O beings of Nature….
Of Plains and Mountains, of Oceans and Lakes,
Of far Deserts, and distant tundra.Of the heart of the planet itself.
Mark well what I have done here.
And work to make it manifest!So mote it be!
I place my petition before you,Oh Earth, giver of all life,
And Sky, thou who art infinite and eternal.
May you lend strength and power  to this, my spell!So mote it be!

Remain before your alter for at least 25 heartbeats.  Extinguish
candles, Close circle and ground.  Clean up…..
