The combination of runes and candles can lead to some very powerful magic. Some of the most potent candlemagic results that I have had    have come from  combining colors, runes and numbers together in spellwork. The  idea was  presented in "Wheel of the Year" by Pauline Campanelli. According to Pauline, runes will  operate more powerfully when   inscribed on a candle if they are inscribed the number of times that    corresponds with there  placement in the line of runes. Simply inscribing the proper  number of runes  is an option, but forming them into a runescript is better. Here  is a list of  intentions and correspondances she has listed.
